Your Curriculum

This is a thorough course, so please read carefully.

The course is programmed to be taken from the beginning to the end. Start with Module 1 and gradually move through the course at your own pace. Your progress will always be saved, so no matter where you leave off, you can pick right back up and continue. You have 12 months to finish the course, and you can complete the modules at any time throughout the day and night. Online BLTT takes about 25 hours to complete, give or take a few hours depending on each person's learning rate.

Most modules have a video at the beginning, followed by text and then a quiz at the end. No module has more than one video. The text is not a transcript of the video, please review both before taking the quiz. Please note: the videos are not all the same, sometimes they are an entire lecture, other times they are an introduction.

In order to move to the next module, you must pass the quiz by scoring at least 80%. You have ten tries to pass each quiz. If you have trouble retaking a quiz, try logging in and out of your account or switching to a different web browser. Your previous quiz scores will be saved, so it is fine to log out of one browser and into another.

Each module varies in length. Feel free to print the text from each module if you prefer reading it from paper.

For the completion of the course, we will schedule an online Practicum session. The Practicum is the final step to activating your membership as a Certified Brain Longevity Specialist. It will be a simple, 10-minute presentation based on a BLTT-related topic of your choice. For example, you could talk about ways to reduce stress through exercise and why it's important for brain health– no props or powerpoints necessary. We will, of course, explain this in more detail ahead of time.

When you have finished all the modules, the system will automatically generate your Brain Longevity Specialist Certificate. This will be your official certificate. You may print it in color, frame it and hang it in your office– it’s a significant accomplishment and we congratulate you on this achievement. We are excited to welcome you to this movement to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
